How to buy an iphone off ebay?
Most of them already have a company like sprint. If I get it will I HAVE to have a plan and contract with sprint? And is there a way I can change it to prepaid? Also, if you can't change it to prepaid, how much would unlimited text and data be and which company is cheapest? Please say the amount (numbers)
If the iPhone listed on eBay doesn't say that its unlocked, then you are forced to use it on whatever carrier that it lists.

The only two companies that offer unlimited data are Sprint and Tmobile (whom might end up merging anyway). Regardless, the plans are about $80 a month (not including taxes and fees) for unlimited talk text and data.
Yes, you have to buy an unlocked phone, or you buy one that is designed to work on the network you prefer, Sprint, Virgin, Boost whatever. I've had same unlimited with Sprint since '08. Works for me. Also if you or spouse work somewhere they give corporate discounts of up to 25% off monthly bill. Goes a long way. Best luck.
