How to create a ringtone on an iphone 4s?

I'm trying to use a music track as a ringtone on my iphone 4s. I have read about having to change the format and stuff but can't quite follow. I can get a 'tones' menu to appear on the side in my itunes but nothing to appear in it.

please can someone explain in some simple steps how to do this, i'm not retarded with computers… It just seems like when i changed the film into an ACC file, and shorten it to 40seconds or less nothing seems to happen beyond this point and i'm stuck

i have downloaded 'ring.tones' app as it was free, but i can't figure that out either because it won't let me send it to my e-mail or on facebook as I don't want to sync and lose everything

I Think there's an app for it

*ONLY IF YOU HAVE MAC*

You should have 'GarageBand' on your Mac. Open it up and select iPhone ringtone. Record voice or what ever. You can even open up a file. Then sync it on to your phone via iTunes.

The following link is a fairly detail account of how to do this.

http://www.gottabemobile.com/2011/10/26/ios-5-how-to-create-custom-ringtones-and-alerts-for-the-iphone/

Also there's a program called Audacity (http://audacity.sourceforge.net/) that is free and allows you to edit tracks. Simply crop the song where you want it for your tone and save the file as a.wav (WAVE). Then add the wave file to your itunes and follow the steps in the tutorial link to convert the file to a ring tone.

I have the app called RMaker. All you do is open the song from your phone that you want to make a ringtone, edit it how you want it, and click the save button. You then plug your phone into the computer you sync your phone with. Go to the tab under your phone in iTunes that says apps… Scroll towards the bottom, and you'll see the list of ringtones you've made with that app… Drag them into your "Tones" section on your computer and Sync! Voila. It's not too complicated and the app comes with instructions on how to help you.

If you have icloud you won't loose anything but you could try to downlaod a bunch of ringtone making apps and see what works

Okay, so what you need to do essentially is convert your.mp3 file to a.m4r file.

Go to download.com
Search for Xilisoft iPhone Ringtone Maker.
Download the free one.
Load your.mp3 into the program.
Cut/convert the.mp3 to.m4a (If you can get it to go directly to.m4r that would be better.)
If it can't go directly to.m4r, just manually change it.

Sync this to your iPhone and you are done.

Download the Myxer app. It lets you create a ringtone using an existing song on your phone. It then tells you to connect to itunes to retrieve it. They have a video on how to do this. Just make sure you have tones enabled on itunes so that they'll sync onto the iphone when you make your ringtone.

  • What do you use to create print on iPhone covers? I want to start creating my own designs for iPhone covers and I was wondering if anyone knew what kind of device/materials and stuff, you use to create these? I was thinking I would order home blank cases and then print the design onto them. 10P to best answer!
  • Transfer purchased ringtone from iPhone to iPhone? I upgraded today from my 5s to a SE, and have already transferred all my apps, contacts, music, etc. But when I go into my settings to set the ringtone to the one I purchased through iTunes, it isn't there and it isn't listed in my purchases either. However, it's still listed in my purchases and tones on my old 5s, so I know I did buy it. How do I transfer it without buying it again?
  • IS there an Ipod touch/ Iphone game where you create your own world or empire?
