How to delete and transfer photos on an iPhone?

I was trying to transfer photos from my iPhone to my computer but then i ****** up using iTunes bc i thought it would transfer photos to the computer but then it did it the other way around so now i have a bunch of photos from my computer on my phone and now they won't delete off my phone. Why is this so complicated can someone please help me.

Added (1). how do i transfer photos? Can i pick and choose which photos to transfer from phone to computer? I do not want to use iPhoto or iTunes

Added (2). and i do not know how to use iCloud

IPhone to computer
Plug in, use Image Capture (Mac), options should come up (Windows)

Computer to iPhone
Photos tab in iTunes, select which folder(s) you want, press Sync

Getting rid of the pics would involve the same thing. Make sure you sync what folders have the pics you want.

I want to remind you that iTunes only allows you to sync pictures from computer to iPhone, not the opposite way, that's why when you click Sync the photos on your computer get into your iPhone. And the photos you synced with iTunes are stored in iPhone photo library, and can't be deleted directly from iPhone.

You can try an iTunes alternative - AnyTrans if you want to:

delete the iTunes synced photos from iPhone;
transfer photos from iPhone to PC/Mac
transfer photos from PC/Mac to iPhone
copy photos from iPhone to iPhone
Delete all photos in camera roll

  • When you delete photos from your Photo Stream does it delete from your Camera Roll? Hi, I'm running out of storage on my phone so I thought the best thing to do would be to delete some photos, and obviously my photo stream folder uses up tons of space, but when I delete photos from the photo stream do they delete from camera roll too? Or vice versa? Obviously I'm using Apple (iPhone 5C) please answer quickly and thanks x
  • No photos and 16GB used for camera and photos My dad gave me an iPhone recently and so I've been adjusting things to my likings, then I found 18GB in the phone was labeled "Other". When I checked the app usage, the Photo & Camera section was using up 16GB, and I had no photos at all. Can someone help please?
  • Need help. How do I delete photos off google photos? I have a google account my parents don't know about, and I'm using a really old Iphone, so I decide to back up my 4,000 photos but now my hotmail accounts been hacked I think. Its only a matter of time before they get throgh to google as well and my photos contain a *lot* of imformation. I'm prepered to just delete the acoount. Help. Welp, just deleted my account. Lol, guess i'm not doing nanowrimo this year…
  • If I delete Photos on my Mac in the Photos app, will it get deleted from my other devices? I have photos in my Photos app on my Macbook that are from my iPhone. If I delete them on my macbook, will it get deleted on my phone too?
