How to fix iphone screen after water damage? - 1
Have an iPhone 4, a few months back I spilled tea on my phone. It went funny for a few mins (grey screen, flicking lights), but then after about 10 minutes everything was fine except for one strip of my phone is unresponsive to touch. Like the row of apps on home screen, the whole second row segment doesn't work. Thankfully I have an ipad air and iPod 5gen so I can still use my devices to their full capabilities but it really hinders the experience of my iphone ie sending messages and searching the internet… So how do I get this fixed? The thing is I already got my cracked screen fixed a while back by a third party so i can't take it to apple. Do phone fixing companies know how to fix my problem and roughly how much do you think it would cost to replace. Thanks & sorry it's long I just thought I'd add all the deets
Let it dry out and take it back to store owner
- Iphone water indicators not pink, still possible water damage? Hypothetically, if you got your iphone 4s wet, but the water indicators are not triggered at all, is it still possible the phone has water damage on the inside that apple would find if they took it apart?
- Iphone submerged in water, logic board has water damage? My phone was under water for 10 sec. Atleast and in my wet pocket for about 2 minutes. Led wouldnt turn off and power / lock button didn't work… Put it in rice and two days later i charge it apple logo pops up then writing pops up above the apple logo. Will the guy taking my phone to clean it out and try to fix it need my passcode? And will my contacts, apps, photos, music, internet history still be on my phone? Like when he fixes it turns and on and stuff?
- IPhone screen very dim after water damage? And a temperature warning? I dropped my iPhone 4 in water about 2 days ago, and I tried turning it on today. It seems to turn on, but the screen is very very dim. Like, you can just barely make out the display when the device is held on an angle. From what I made out, there's a temperature warning on the screen. Also, the flash is slightly lit up? Is there anything I can do, or is this a lost cause?
- I dropped my Iphone in water - no water damage showing on indicator? Here is the situation. I dropped my Iphone 5 in the toilet (I hadn't peed yet so all good there). Immediately switched it off, dried it and put it in a bag of rice. This was at about 6 p.m yesterday. This morning without turning it on I opened up the sim compartment to check the circle for water damage (checked online and apparently this is where to check for water damage). The indicator was white. It is back in the rice but I was wondering - when you think it will be ok to turn back on?
