How to fix my iphone 5c screen?

Ok so I dropped my phone earlier today and it wasn't a really bad drop or anything but when I picked my phone up and checked the time my phone screen had all of these lines, the best I could describe it is like when the TV has an error if you get what I mean. Has anyone else had this problem before? I'm planning to go to the apple store on the weekend to get it fixed but does anyone know if there's a way I can fix it and how do they fix it in the store?

You can order the replacement screens on Amazon for around $30. I'd strongly recommend going on YouTube and finding a video that takes you step by step to do the replacement.

That looks like a damaged LCD. The LCD IS the screen. The glass is the digitizer, which is what detects your fingers and performs actions accordingly.

Starting with the iPhone 4, Apple infused both the LCD and digitizer. So now, you buy the display assembly. You could try to just replace the LCD, but that involves separating the digitizer and LCD, which isn't that easy.

Also, just note: Apple warranty doesn't cover this, so you'll probably end up paying $100+ for it.
