How to get more gigabytes on my iPhone 5c?
I told my mom that I wanted more gigabytes because I only have five but we don't know where to go or how to buy more gigs. Do we have to go to an Apple Store or something?
Apple's iDevices use storage chips which means you can't upgrade their storage, whatever you have is what you have, to increase it you need ti buy a new phone with bigger storage.
However, as you said you only have 5gb of storage, i'm guessing you're on about iCloud storage, iCloud storage is not physical storage on your phone, it is in the Cloud which you can access wirelessly with an internet connection. If you want more iCloud storage then you can find out how to buy extra storage here - https://support.apple.com/...b/HT201318
No that is not possible. However if you are looking for more space to only store photos videos and some other files check out the mophie space.
If you mean the space on your phone, you can't add to it. You can make more available by deleting apps, photos, videos, etc. Look for things that are large in size on the phone that you don't use and delete them to make room for more stuff. I'd start with videos, games, and pictures. Videos are big space hogs.
You can't, you have to buy a new phone
- Why does restoring my iphone from a backup use up so many gigabytes? I have an iphone 5 and I'm trying to restore my phone from last backup. Unfortunately, the back up is cancelled about 30 minutes in because my hard disk runs out of space. I have 10 gigs left so there should be any problem with that. I went to mobilesync folder and then to the backup folder and there's one folder there. Once you click on that folder there are thousands of files in that folder that have several modified dates on them. Basically can I just delete the old dated files?
- Why do the 400 pictures on my IPhone take up 5.9 gigabytes of memory? I have tried deleting many pictures and it only seems to clear up a little bit of memory, this just seems way to high for me.
- Why do my iPhone pictures take up so much gigabytes? I have a 32GB iPhone 5, and I'm trying to free up space on my phone, I only have 379 pictures (31 videos but they aren't long, longest video is 5 minutes) and it's used up 6.4 GB! My friends have somewhere near 800 pictures and they only use up around 1 or 2 GB. Any reason why my pictures use up so much GB? And any way I can make them use less?
- Should I get 16 or 64 gigabytes? I'm getting an iPhone 6s and I'm thinking of getting either 16 or 64 gigabytes. I take a lot of pictures and I will be downloading messenger apps like Whatsapp and Messenger. The only apps I will have are these, instagram, a couple picture editing apps, and maybe a couple games like flappy bird or something. Is 16 enough or should I upgrade to a 64 gigabyte phone? And a bonus question: Which color is better, silver or space grey?
