How to get more space on iPhone?
My phone had been weird, i have an iPhone 4 which is supposed to have 8 GB of space. I have two apps, the Bible and kik and 404 pictures and 13 videos. I have no music on my phone or any downloaded videos. In the usage summary it says the camera takes up 1.2 GB, the bible is 74.9 MB, kik is 43.4 MB, and safari is 0.2 KB. It also says in total 6.3 GB are being used and i only have 44.2 MB left. Does this even add up? How can i fix this? I really want to upgrade to ios7
Delete conversations on kik as this will free up space. The IOS takes up around 1.5G of space in itself, so you don't get 8GB to begin with. Videos take up the most space, so try to free them up. Pictures, too.
App data and email and message threads take up a lot of space.
Yeah, it adds up. Delete kik conversations and get rid of unwanted or uneeded videos and photos.
It's the videos that use the most space. Get them off the phone and you will be good. Deleting messages and photos you no longer actually need will help too, but it's the videos that eat the most space.
- Will buying more iCloud space let me download more apps, songs, and photos? So i have deleted apps that i don't really need and deleted songs i don't listen to but still there's not enough space to even take a photo, A pop up comes up that says to manage my icloud storage. Would purchasing more icloud storage allow me to download more apps and have more songs and pictures on my iPhone 4 from sprint? It is an 8gb i think.
- Why does my Iphone music take up more space than it should? I have 1831 songs on my Iphone, very little photos or apps. Yet the songs themselves are taking up 11GB of space on my Iphone. Which seems way more than it should be to me. I was wondering why it is taking up so much room and is there any way I can fix this?
- What is the best way to backup iphone to get more space? I can't update this iphone so I need to remove 3.6GB of photos and 3.2GB of music. I don't use icloud… Should i? Maybe place the phone into the computer and use itunes to backup and remove?
- More you use an app the more space it takes up on iPhones and iPads? I have an iPad and new iPhone 5 that I just got. I have rhapsody on both the same app and amount of music basically (iPad as seven more songs on app) but on the iPad the rhapsody app takes up 2.8 GB and the iPhone takes up 1.8GB. Why is that? The more use the app the more space it takes up even if you're not adding new content?
