How to get rid of 'other' in iPhone memory?

I keep receiving the same error popup message on my phone, telling me I don't have enough memory to take any more pictures or download anything. When I plug my iPhone into my computer and open iTunes, I notice I have about 2.5GB of 'other' in my memory. I checked the Apple iPhone forums, and their suggestions were no help. I've also tried restoring from backup, but I can't seem to get rid of it. Any suggestions?

I know most of my "other" is messages and emails. If you don't delete them often they can take up a lot of storage.

  • What is 'Other' storage on IPhone 4 and how to get rid of it? I have just over a gb worth of other storage i have tried wiping and restoring my iphone. I know there are some apps to view the 'other' but i don't want to pay for them, is there any free apps similar to this without jailbreak or any other ways to get rid of it?

  • I'm trying to get rid of Other on iPhone 5? I know this is a tired question because no one can figure out how to truly remove the (5GB in my case) excess of "other" on the iPhone because it apparently might be due to corrupted files. I've tried everything I can find online to no avail. I really don't want to resolve to starting a new phone because I need my current photos, contacts and messages. Any suggestions?
  • How to get rid of the other category in my iPhone's usage The "other" section is currently taking up 7.5GB of my iPhone's capacity (so ridiculous)! I've tried everything: deleting contacts, deleting conversations, deleting apps, and even RESTORING MY IPHONE. But it still is taking up basically half of my usage! Please someone tell me how I can get rid of, or at least drastically reduce, the "other" section.
