How to improve internet connection?

My brother has the router in his room and his connection is fine.
But mine and my dads internet never works on iPhone when we're only downstairs, and the computer connection is very slow (took 10 minutes to load yahoo answers). We have a wireless router down here but its still very slow.

Any ideas what it is and how to fix it?

Try unplugging your modem and your router for 10 sec to let it cool down then plug them back in

First of all update the browser
Update flash player
Update Display drivers
Remove unwanted tool-bars and plug-ins
CLEAR TEMP FILES

- Log on as Administrator
- Start - run - type gpedit.msc
- Expand "local computer policy"
- Then expand "administrative templates"
- Then expand "network branch"
- Highlight the "QoS Packet Scheduler"
- On right window double click "limit reservable bandwidth"
- On setting tab check the "enabled"
- Change "Bandwidth limit %" to 0
- Restart PC
