How to jailbreak iOS 5.1.1 Untethered using Sn0wbreeze?

The beautiful iOs 5.1.1 untethered jailbreak is finally in our hands. Using Absinthe 2.0, you can easily jailbreak your any iOS device running firmware version 5.1.1 in a couple of minutes. If you are experiencing problems with Absinthe, here's how to jailbreak your device using Sn0wbreeze.

Note: Sn0wbreeze can't jailbreak A5 devices i, e iPad 3, iPad 2 and iPhone 4S. To jailbreak these devices, you will have to use Absinthe. All other devices are supported by sn0wbreeze. It will also preserve baseband for iPhone unlockers.

How to jailbreak iOS 5.1.1 Untethered using Sn0wbreeze

Things you need:
>> iOS 5.1.1 IPSW file for your device.
>> Sn0wbreeze 2.9.14
>> Latest version of iTunes

Step 1: Connect your device with computer and run sn0wbreeze.

Step 2: Click the blue arrow at the bottom right corner to proceed. On the next screen, choose Browse for iPSW and select the 5.1.1 iPSW file you downloaded earlier.

Step 3: Sn0wbreeze will now verify provided ipsw file. Once it sucessfully does, you will be notified with the following message.

Step 4: Click the blue arrow to proceed. On the next screen, select Expert mode and then Build IPSW.

Step 5: Sn0wbreeze will now create custom 5.1.1 IPSW file. Wait till it finishes. After that, you will be asked to put your iPhone in pwned DFU mode. Follow the on-screen instructions to do that.

Step 6: Custom 5.1.1 firmware would have been created on your desktop. Now open up iTunes. It will detect your iPhone in recovery mode. SHIFT + click on Restore button and select the custom created 5.1.1 file from the desktop.

That's it. ITunes will now restore your iPhone to jailbroken iOS 5.1.1.
