How to keep iPhone from sending iMessage text?
I have an iphone 4s with the newest ios 7. I had a contact that had an iphone as well. Now, he doesn't have an iphone he switched to a galaxy s 4. So when I receive his text its a regular text. When I try to reply it still sends as imessage and says 'delivered'. I've tried holding on the message hoping for the 'send as text' option to pop up but nothing. I've deleted the contact and then added him again but still sends text via imessage. Tried resetting phone and nothing as well. Tried changing his number from 'mobile' to 'iphone' and back to 'mobile' and nothing. Any help would be appreciated. (apple makes everything difficult)
Actually its not Apple's fault. It his fault for not properly disabling it when he switched. My friend had an iPhone & of course iMessage enabled as well & then sold it to help pay off for somethings & made sure to disable it before hand, therefore me with my iPhone still was able to text him no problem until he got back one again.
So unfortunately unless he could get that done somehow the phone will correctly send it as an iMessage.
Oh & switching from mobile to iPhone & vice versa wouldn't have done anything anyway since those are simply labels.
- Why is my iPhone5 sending some messages as iMessage and others as Text Messages? I understand that messages are sent as Text Messages when there's no signal or poor Wi-Fi connection. However, I'm successfully texting some people using iMessage but others (still iPhone users) as Text messages. The other person will send iMessages and then my responses will be sent as green Text Messages.
- Why does my IPhone keep sending iMessage? My boyfriend had an iPhone but recently down graded to the galaxy s4 xD and every time I send him a text my phone still recognizes it as an iPhone (iMessage) so I have to click on it and send it as a text message every time I send him a text which is so annoying. - When I text other iPhones why is it sending as a text message? I have an iPhone 4 I was on AT&T and I just switched to straight talk. In my setting I have all the iMessage and everything turned on. Sometimes it will work whenever I text another iPhone but most of the time it won't. I have tried turning the phone off and back on. It's really irritating. If someone could help me that would be great.
- My photos are not sending in group messages, but are sending in individual messages? I'm with Straight Talk Wireless. At first my pictures were sending in the group message but now they are not. I don't know what's wrong, all my settings are what they are suppose to be, and I'm currently on an iPhone 5s IOS 8.4.
