Added (1). I recently was talking to somebody on a dating app. Out of the blue the other night he stopped texting. My iMessages go through but doesn't say delivered. I called the number from my phone, on private and a friends phone. Every time it waits for about 20 seconds then I get a busy signal. Everything I read on the internet says it needs to ring once then go straight to voicemail to know if you are blocked. It's not doing this. Does this mean that it's another way of saying I'm blocked!

You would always get something like "… The number you have dialed is on the phone right now. Please try again later…" no matter what time and how many numerous attempts you tried when calling.
This is a positive indication that you have been blocked by that person.
