How to make a new iTunes account?

I share my apple ID with my husband. We both have iphones and whenever one of us downloads music or something, we both get it. I have been having space issues on my phone. I barely have any apps or pictures but my phone is full. It just does not add up. The verizion people said that I need to get a separate apple ID from my husband. How can I do that? I think I know that if I sign out of my current itunes on my computer, and then instead of logging in again I can just set up a new one. If I do that how will it work on my phone and is that the best way?

But to have unique individual library you will need to have to iTunes Librarys

When you use multiple iOS Devices on one PC, that's exactly what you need, a unique Apple ID in order to keep all your purchased stuff separate.

So, Search for Apple ID on your Phone and create a new ID. Then, open your new iTunes Account with the new Apple ID.

You will have nothing in your Purchases list, because you're starting over.

TIP: Make sure that Home Sharing is NOT turned on, in iTunes, it Really complicates things. Stil stuck? Talk to the people at Apple's Genius Bar.

  • Moving music from iphone to new itunes account? I just bought a new laptop because the screen on my previous laptop decided to not work anymore. All of the music i have is on my iphone, but some of the music is not from the itunes store, which means it won't let me sync those songs to my new laptop.
