To make your answers and question private, click on your avatar pic or name, then these areas. You can also hover over the My Activity tab at the top of the Answers page and click Edit My Preferences there…
1. Click Edit My Preferences > Privacy & Communications. Make your Questions and Answers private by clicking in the Sharing and Network to set all to Contacts only. Then delete all Contacts and Fans, if you wish to remove access for them too…
2. Click Profile. Edit to delete all information there…
3. Click 'Settings' on the right of the Profile page > Updates > Manage Updates. Uncheck the box that says 'Show my Updates' …
4. Check the Privacy area on the same 'Settings' page, and set all to Contacts only. Then delete all Contacts and Fans, if you wish…
5. You can change your name that shows for answers to an anonymous alias too. Open your profile by clicking on your avatar or the 'My Activity' tab at the top of this page, click 'Edit My Preferences', go to 'Change name', click 'Use a nickname just for Answers', type your choice in the box, and click 'Submit'.
If you make your profile private, your avatar pic will not show on Y! Answers. However you can edit your profile to remove identifying information.
Old Resolved questions will continue to be available in the Search Y! Answers archives and for web search sites too. Any Open questions or answers show on the main pages…
