How to move playlists from iPhone to mac?

So I recently got a mac (switched from a pc)
Anyhow- I managed to move all my music over from my phone, but it didn't transfer the playlists!

How do I move them to my iTunes library?

It's strange that you playlists wouldn't sync to your Mac. Try back-up and sync again. If this does not solve you problem, try this:
Connect device to iTunes.
Click the "Music" tab in device options

You can use third-party software like iPhone Transfer http://www.video-dvd-ripper.com/iphone-transfer/ to move music files to your Mac in one click without iTunes

You may try a 3rd party software like this iPod file manager. It can copy the playlists from your iPod back to Mac. It worked fairly well for me.

  • Why do playlists on my Iphone keep messing up? I have an Iphone 5, there are some playlists in which I try to rearrenge a song, and after I save the changes, the song moved to a different position. This appears to happen on AAC songs that I converted from itunes, I did this because Itunes suddenly stopped allowing me to change the name of artists or songs. Any idea of why this is happening? Is there effectively a relation between the AAC songs and the bugged/corrupted playlists?

I've always kept the phone settings on manual so I can manage the music myself.
