How to play music in car w/ iPhone via cigarette lighter?

My friend has this cord that plugs into the cigarette lighter in her ca (she has a pathfinder I think) and the other end plugs into her phone (she has a 4 or 4s, I'm not sure). When she does that it plays music through the stereos. Our car is a 2009 Honda Pilot, and I have a 3GS, is there any way possible for me to play music through the stereos? Also I do not have an auxiliary port and I'm pretty sure there's no cassette deck.

What your friend has is a fm transmitter. They can be bought at any electronics store.

I think it does have a aux my friend has a pilot his is in the i don't know what you call it but its in the right where the shift is and its where you put stuff in it its not the glove department it looks like a box

You want to stay away from the FM transmitters they don't sound good and there's a lot of noise static
it is best to buy an audio input adapter for your Honda radio, this only works for Honda and not universal or FM wireless
the Adapter add a new source to the Honda radio that you can switch on off when you need to listen to your mp3 or iPhone

Or do I have to disconnect the battery? I don't know anything about this kind of thing!

  • Pandora won't play through car speakers via USB? I currently drive a 2012 Chevrolet Malibu LT and I usually play Pandora on my iPhone via the USB out which is included in the sound systems inside the Malibu models. For a while everything played perfectly, but not it does not. When I plug it in, my car recognizes that it is plugged in and the name of the Artist and song appear on the sound system like normal. However, it only plays through the speakers on my phone. What is the problem? Should I get a different connection other than USB?
