How to play music on my iPhone through my car speakers?

This may seem like a silly question to some but I don't know how (if I can) to play music from my phone through my car speakers and what I need to buy in order to do it.

My car has a CD/radio player, and your standard cigarette lighter input, it doesn't have an aux input point.

If teh car audio system doesn't have an external / aux input or a bluetooth function then you can use an FM transmitter unit such as

They both basically transmit FM (like having a small radio station) that your radio will pick up.

Do not go with FM transmitter, they produce bad sound, with noise, etc… I recommend direct connection, check one from here:

  • Pandora won't play through car speakers via USB? I currently drive a 2012 Chevrolet Malibu LT and I usually play Pandora on my iPhone via the USB out which is included in the sound systems inside the Malibu models. For a while everything played perfectly, but not it does not. When I plug it in, my car recognizes that it is plugged in and the name of the Artist and song appear on the sound system like normal. However, it only plays through the speakers on my phone. What is the problem? Should I get a different connection other than USB?
