How to restore iphone 4 (because i forgot my passcode) without updating to ios 6?
I forgot my passcode and have to restore it but the problem is that itunes automatically updates iphone 4 to ios 6, how can i avoid this because i have not saved SHSH blobs and i can't now because my iphone is disabled permanently. Is there a way to save SHSH blobs from itunes, in recovery mode? Please Help, i'm really confused!
Added (1). If iphone is updated to ios 6, how can i downgrade it to ios 5 without usins SHSH blobs.
Ok i hope you are ready for this… Now take a breath… I'm sorry but all unsaved data is lost. The only way any of this would be saved is if you took the time to set up i cloud and the program what you are speaking of automaticly backed it up for you. By chance do you know the password to your i cloud?
now how to restore your iphone is very simple. The first thing that you need todo is to hook you phone to your computer while i itunes is running on your computer. Then the device will need to be put in specail mode called DFU. I don't know what this stands for but i do know exactly what it does and that is does a complete wipe of your device and allows you to start over as if you were opeing the phone for the very first time.again i'm sorry but all unsaved data is gone and can't be recovered.
to put your iphone in to this mode you press and hold both the power button located on top of the phone and the home button which is the round button on the bottom of your phone that has a square on it. At first this seems like your going to do a soft reset but there's just a little bit of a difference. Now once your phone turns off do not let go of those two buttons i just mentioned.until you see the apple symbal pop up.once you see the apple you release the power button and continue to hold the home button then a notification should pop up on your computer which will say something like your device is now in recovery mode and needs to be reset.click continue and just follow the steps that will b clearly laid out for you and just like that problem fixed.
