How to review iTunes with out credit card?

Step 1: Download and install iTunes from Apple's site. If you already have iTunes installed, skip this step.
Step 2: Open iTunes and click on iTunes store located at top right of the window.
Step 3: Open App Store by clicking on App Store located at the top navigation bar.
Step 4: Scroll down to "Top free apps" located in the right column. Select any free app and download it (by clicking the "Free" button). Note: This step is important otherwise it won't work.
Step 5: A new window will pop up asking you to either sign in or create a new account. Click on "Create Apple ID".
Step 6: You will be redirected to a welcome page. Click "Continue".
Step 7: Now select your country from the list, tick "I have read and agreed to these terms and conditions" and click agree.
Step 8: Fill in the form and provide the required details and click "Continue".
Step 9: This is the main step. Select "None" for the payment method. Fill in the billing address required and once done, click "Create Apple ID
Step 10: You will receive a verification email on the email address you entered. Open the email and click on "Verify now" to activate your iTunes account.
- Why does iTunes say my credit card number is wrong? I have an iPad 2, iPod ( 4g ), iPhone 4.So it's been like a month since I couldn't get any apps. I've re entered everything and nothing still works! I've tried to do it from my laptop and computer but it still doesn't work. What can I do to make this work?

But I used my moms credit card to buy a couple apps. Then my cousin stole her credit card so she canceled it. - What happened to my remaining credit on my itunes gift card? I entered a gift card in my itunes account worth $15 and had an amount of $3.72 left over when I tried to purchase an app for my iphone. But when I made the purchase, it made me login and then the remaining credit was gone. I tried logging out and in twice but nothing worked.
- ITunes Gift card instead of Credit Card? I found some things that i have been wanting on the iTunes store but i do not have a credit card registered with my account. If i were to buy an iTunes gift card, would that work in lieu of the credit card requirement? Also, the apps that i want to get are for the iPhone. Would buying an app with the gift card affect the plan with the phone in any way?
