How to send iMessages from iPhone to iPad/Mac?
Someone gave me an @mac.com iMessage account to text them at. When i tried to send an iMessage, it sent as a text message and I'm not sure if he ever received it. My iMessage is always on and always works.
Why did it not send as an iMessage to the @mac.com address and/or how do I get it to work? Some people say iPads are weird with receiving messages sometimes, is that it?
On ipad just go into imessage settings and set it up with apple ID to receive msgs at, then you msg that email (still arrives as text msg on ipad).
You should make sure that your friend's device's iMessages is ON. Then sending and receiving messages.
- Why won't my iPhone send iMessages? I have an iPhone 4S and my friend has the 5. She kept the same sim, so when she got her 5, the old messages from her blackberry weren't deleted. But now, our messages aren't sent through iMessage and its really annoying. Any ideas how this could be put right? All my other friends that I message are sent on iMessage, just not her.

Its frustrating, because we live in an area with poor mobile coverage, so if I need to message him urgently, iMessage in theory should be the best way of doing it. - Why is my Iphone not sending as Imessages and receiving iMessages from one person? I'm texting my wife and we both have iPhone's and she is getting the messages as an iMessage but the ones I'm sending her on my end show up at green. Sometime it will go as blue, get the little red exclamation point then send as regular SMS. I'm texting someone else too and she has an iPhone, and she is getting mine as regular iMessages and mine are sending as regular iMessages. Why aren't they sending to me wife as iMessages?
- Why does my iPhone send iMessages to myself? Ever since i updated my iPhone 4 to the new software I have been recieving my own texts when I attempt to text my dad. I also receive some of his texts from other people. It seems like apple linked our accounts somehow but I don't know how to separate them. We use the same apple ID but it's been that way for over a year now with no problems until now. Any help Is appreciated.
