How to set up a Wi-Fi network for my devices?

I have an iPhone, iPad, Apple Mac, PS3 and TV. I have a wireless broadband that sticks into my Mac. Where do I go from here? Do I need a wireless router.

Yeah you need a wireless router or gateway. Most likely you have that trough yot ISP but not utilizing it.

It is not clear what you have.

"I have a wireless broadband that sticks into my Mac. "

If it is wireless then it should not have to be stuck in anywhere. If it is a USB dongle then you can try sharing the connection from the Mac…

System Preferences > Sharing > Internet Sharing

If you have an Internet connection coming into the house to a modem you can connect a wireless router to the modem which will give you a Wi-Fi network to which all your devices can connect.

I assume that by "wireless" you mean that you get your internet from your cell phone service and the device slides into your MAC or is a USB. Your cell service also can supply a Wi-Fi router that connects to the cell service and allows other devices to connect through the Wi-Fi router. Give them a call.
Keep in mind that cell service in your area may be a bit slower than DSL and definvely slower than cable. If you have too many devices connected at one time your entire network will be very slow. If that TV is on a cable then your best bet would be to get your internet from the TV cable service.
Hope that helps.

  • One laptop can connect to our home Wi-Fi network but no other devices can connect? We recently set up a wireless internet connection in our house. One laptop can connect to it (the one I'm currently on) but no other devices can connect to it. It says our "Network Security Key" is mismatched. I have tried typing in all the different codes on both the router and modem on both our second laptop and an iPhone 5. How can I fix this?
  • No Apple devices can access the iTunes or app stores on my home network? This is an odd problem I haven't encountered before. The internet is fully functional, but whenever I try to access iTunes or the app store on my iPad, iPhone, or sister's iPad, it says "can't connect to iTunes store."
