How to stop my notes from appearing on other apple devices?
I have a lot of notes on my iphone. But then, when I use my mom's iphone, my notes appear on her notes app. Her notes also appear in my notes app. We use the same apple id so maybe that's the cause of this. Is there anyone who knows how to stop this? Also, I connected my iphone to itunes and i saw the "sync notes" is unchecked.
You're absolutely correct, it's the AppleID. You should have your own AppleID. Your mom could set you up your own AppleID with a prepaid credit card for the payment method so there are no accidental purchases. It will give you the separate account and make things a little better.
Alternatively, go to Settings > iCloud > Turn off Notes. This will make it so Notes is not synced with iCloud, thereby not matching the notes across the devices.
You are using same apple id from both device. My suggestion is to create and use different apple id for your mom or your self.
- Will the photos I take with my IPhone 5s be linked with other devices with the same Apple ID? I have an iPad and an IPhone 5 and a 5s. Will the pictures I take on the 5s be sent to the other apple devices since they both all are linked to the same Apple ID?
- Why does my iPhone notes app.delete some notes? Some have been there for over a year others just disappear after a few days. I have not (to my knowledge) done anything differently.
- Stop songs from downloading on two apple devices? Whenever I download an app or song on my ipod touch, it goes to my sisters iphone as well and vice- versa. How can I stop things from showing up on both?
- My iPhone says that my Notes is taking up 1.79 GB of storage. I only have 3 notes, and there isn't a lot of text in them. How do I fix this? Recently there were a lot of notes on my phone, but I deleted most of them until there were only three notes left. However, my phone still says my Notes takes up 1.79 GB. I tried writing a really lengthy note to see if the GB would go higher, but it didn't change. I don't want to delete my three remaining notes, which have very little text in them. I doubt that these notes are taking up 1.79 GB. What is the problem here, and how do I fix it?
