How to swap data between two iphones?
My sister and I are exchanging phones and I want to get all of her data into my phone and vice-versa. How do I do that?
Fully back up both iPhones on a host computer running iTunes select the option to back up apps as well.
Then wipe both iPhones: Settings>General>Reset>Erase all content and settings.
Once wiped connect each phone to your host computer and follow the instructions to restore the last back up from the "old" phone to the "new" one. Then do the same with the other phone to put your last back up on your sister's old iPhone.
Note that if some apps can't run on the "new" iPhone then they will not get installed. You'll then get the option to check for a compatible updated version of those particular apps.
Connect each of your phones to a computer then sync. Swap phones, then connect and sync.
- With Verizon, can two iphones share a data package of 2GB? I have an iphone right now and it costs $30 for 2 GB of data a month. My mom wants to get rid of her basic keyboard phone and upgrade to an iPhone. But she doesn't want to pay an addtional $30 for her 2 GB of data. Is it possible for her to just use some of my data and join my 2 GB plan?
- Two different computers, two different iTunes.can I use the same Apple ID? I have iTunes on my computer that I use for my iPhone, and my mon just got an iPod Touch and wants me to fill it for her. I'm going to use her computer to do this, which currently does not have iTunes. Once I download iTunes, can I use my own Apple ID to download songs and apps onto her iPod? Is it possible to do that without disturbing what's on my phone, or do I have to make a whole new iTunes account for her?
- Is there a way two record two instruments into an iPhone? I was planning on playing a duet with a friend where I'm on the guitar and they are on the violin and it's just something I want to post on Instagram, nothing special. Is there a cheap device or method that I can record both of us as we're playing directly into my phone?
- Is a two year contract actually two years? I just recently got a new job that will allow me to splurge a little bit and finally upgrade my phone. I hope to switch from Straight talk over to AT&T so i don't have to continue paying $300+ when I need a new phone. The iphone 6 is about $100 with AT&T s two year contract, and then I'm eligible for an upgrade. Will I be held in that two year contract or would I be able to upgrade earlier to a more recent version? How much does it generally cost to upgrade early?
