How to switch from an android cell phone to an Iphone?

I'm with Verizon and have a Droid X and will be switching to an IPhone 4 that I have bought from a trusted friend. Can I do the switch from my home or will I have to take it to a store to have them do it?

You have to take it to a store to get it switched I had to do the same thing when I brought my first iPhone 4,' they have to disconnect service from the Droid x and transfer it to the iPhone,'

I would just call your carrier and ask them first, you may be able to just switch it over the phone, but it may be easier to take it to the store so its working when you walk out.

  • How to switch T-Mobile phone service from android to an iPhone? I've been trying to get a new phone. I've always used an Android and now was thinking about trying an iPhone. Usually with Androids all I have to do is take my current SIM card out of my old phone and put it in the new phone and the service is there and I could use the phone immediately as long as it's with T-Mobile. Would it be the same way for an iPhone? Or would i have to do something extra to be able to get service on the phone. The iPhone is T-Mobile as well.
