How to sync/backup jailbroke iPhone 5s?
I have a jailbroken 5s, on my itunes i have a backup from before the jailbreak. When i connect my phone to itunes the only options are set up as new or restore from the backup before the jailbreak. They both will get rid of my jailbreak and i don't want that to happen. So how do i back it up without having to use a previous back up? Or how do i sync it without having to set it up as a new one?
Sorry you can't backup without itunes. But you can access iphone using ifunbox.
Restoring from a backup won't get rid of your jailbrake!
Only restoring and updating the firmware! That is clicking restore (or shift clicking it and selecting firmware).
Only time a jailbrake is removed is when the device is updated to the latest software version OR restored the firmware (VIA COMPUTER) to stock(complete erase-not just from the settings-this doesn't)

Hi, yesterday I had to reset my phone (IPhone 8 plus) to factory default and restore it to its last backup (April 15th). I also have an iPad mini, which everything is Synced. I got everything back on my phone (up to date) except my text messages. I'm not able to access my computer right now and have read you can get them back my backing up you messages to ICloud. Is there anything I can do to get them back on my phone (they are still on my iPad mini), without using my Mac?
