Added (1). We had to restore the passcode on her phone, and a good start to restoring her contacts, many of which are duplicated on my iPhone would be if we could do a mass transfer.
You can MERGE your contacts (I assume you share an account? Can be done even if you do not). We had to the same once - then sat down and cherry-picked OUT the ones we did not want. You are right - it is far faster to delete, than to add lone entries, with addresses, multiple emails, etc.
More info - easiest is for you back up your phone, on the computer- then restore HER using YOUR backup info. Reminds me of a blood transfusion. Sorry. She will get you apps photos, etc. - for richer for poorer, in sickness and in health…
Sign in to iCloud.com (or your Contacts app on the Mac) and export them. Then your wife can import them into hers.
Would be easier through a computer & depends on what accounts you'll use.
e.g. If Google accounts, just a matter of exporting the contacts from 1 account & importing it into another.
