How to transfer music to my iphone, without loading all the music I got in itunes?
I need your help please, on itunes I usually sincronize all to my ipod, now I got an iphone and I want to put some music in it, but not all, how can I do to select what I want to transfer?
If you connect your iPhone to iTunes and click on the music info tab on it you can select the songs you want.
If you use iTunes to make a playlist, and put all of the songs that you want onto that playlist, and then you specify that you will ONLY sync that playlist.
If your music was purchased from the iTunes store, go to iTunes on the iPhone. On the bottom right of the screen it has a "more" button - under more is a purchased menu. On the next screen are two tabs, select the one - "not on this iPhone". Now you can cherry pick which songs you want to download.
If you want to use iTunes on your computer, which you would have to do for music not purchased from the iTunes store. I'm going to assume your using iTunes 11. When the iphone is attached, click on it in the upper right corner. On the summary screen select "sync only checked songs and videos". Before you do this, you should go through your library and uncheck all the songs you don't want on the iPhone.
When you connect your iPod, make sure it's summary screen doesn't have the sync only checked songs and videos box checked. When you connect the iPod it should sync the whole library. When you connect the iPhone it will only sync the items checked.
You can make a playlist with the songs you want to put on iPhone, and then just sync the playlist, this will not sync all the songs to your iPhone.
