How to turn on imessage for iPhone 4?
So I asked this same question before but I forgot to include that I had a Verizon phone that I had bought from a friend and he took of the service. So I don't know if that's the reason why It won't activate but if it is then what do I do?
What iOS are you running? Do you have an apple ID? Is it just that you don't know how or is there a problem with the phone? Have you had iMessages before? We need more information before we can specify the steps needed to activate iMessages.
I'm sure someone will help you if you specify!

- Why won't my iMessage turn on on my new iPhone 5C? I had just bought this phone two days ago and I have tried multiple times to turn on the iMessage. Everytime its says it was unsuccessful and to try again. So I do. Nothing. I have tried the whole resetting the network settings and then try. Still nothing. Any advoce or ideas on helping me?
- Why can I only turn on iMessage when Wi-Fi is on (iPhone)? I have an iPhone 5s, and when I'm out of the house I turn iMessage off to send photos so it doesn't cost me data. When I try to turn it back on (Cellular, no Wi-Fi) it says I have to turn on Cellular or Wi-Fi (Cellular is already on) how can I fix this?
- IPhone can't send iMessage to iPod touch user with iMessage? At random times, whenever I try to iMessage my friend who has just a iPod Touch, where you type in the message will say "Text Message" instead of "iMessage." is there a way to fix this so it will always send as a iMessage instead of Text?
- IPhone 4 - Unable to turn on iMessage but Facetime still works? The phone has been kept up to date with software. When I go to my settings to where you can turn on imessage, the little switch to turn it on is grayed out. Facetime works fine - whenever I try to find an answer on google it's "facetime and imessage not working." Please help! Really need to fix this. I'm not able to turn it on ever even under Wi-Fi.
