How to unlock a Verizon iPhone 5C?
I recently upgraded to an IPhone 6S, and I'm looking to sell my iPhone 5C. I want to unlock my phone, and online it says that Verizon users have to call Verizon. But other places say that iPhones aren't locked and you just need to remove the SIM card. So if I remove the SIM card do I still have to call Verizon? The phone has already been disconnected from my phone number
You need to call your carrier and they will walk you thru the process to unlock the phone.
If I remember correctly, Verizon has the GSM portion of their phones unlocked. You can try to put a different SIM card, and it should work. If it doesn't, then you'll have to get Verizon to unlock it.
