How to update my iTunes on an OS 10.5?
I'm currently running Mac OS X Version 10.5.8. The iOS 6 update on my iPhone required me to download a newer version of iTunes, which will not install on my computer due to the fact that it is an earlier and incompatible version. How can I fix this so that I can sync to my phone?
Uninstall itunes. Then download it (from the Apple site) No, your songs will not be deleted.

- What will happen if I update my itunes into itunes 11.0.1? I'm trying to update my iphone3gs to ios 6 but everytime I click update, it says it requires itunes 11.0.1. Should I click download? Coz I got traumatize when my friend clicked something on her itunes and now her iphone is not working anymore. I'm only new in using apple gadgets.

About five minutes into the update iTunes in my computer stops working, causing the update to of course stop working. Now my phone will not turn on.
