How to wipe iPhone that is disabled connect to itunes?
I connected it to iTunes and it is asking me to unlock phone first. I can't because it is disabled. I need to wipe the phone completely so I can use it. My mom just died and it's her phone. )
Enter DFU mode:
- Plug your device into your computer with a USB cable.
- Turn off the device.
- Hold the Power button for 3 seconds.
- Hold the Home and Power buttons for 10 seconds.
- Release the Power button but keep holding the Home button.
- After about 15 seconds you will be alerted by iTunes saying that it has detected a device in Recovery Mode.
Once in DFU/Recovery mode, simply restore, iTunes will not ask for a passcode as it knows it can't be entered.
Note: This does NOT work with iCloud lock, which is enabled when someone reports the device lost/stolen, nothing can bypass that unless the owner puts in the correct Apple ID and Password.
To do a full reset you'll need to know the Apple ID and password associated with the phone. There's no way around this.

It did nothing. So then I clicked on my device and I clicked 'restore iPhone' but it says it'll delete data? Will this delete all my pictures and music that ISN't backed up?
