I can connect to my Wi-Fi but it doesn't work?

I tried on my ps3 and iPhone. It connects to the Wi-Fi signal but you can go on the internet. I have a Westell router. The "DSL" and "power" lights are the only ones lit up, there's one that says "Internet" but it's not lit up. I've unplugged EVERYTHING and plugged it back in multiple times. I've let it cool off for an hour and still no luck.

Call your isp sounds like it might be down or just wait a bit and try again

This can happen occasionally. When this happens, do a complete reset. Turn off your modem (if you have one) and your wireless router for 30 seconds each. Then turn off your devices trying to use it and turn them back on. Once you have done this it should work again.

You can connect to your router, but your router can't connect to the internet? Try trouble shooting it by going to Start > Control Panel > Network and Internet > Network and Sharing Center
Then edit your question with what the problem that has occurred is. If it's the DNS server not responding, you'll have to wait this out. Or eventually ring your ISP

When you are connected to a home router, you are actually connected to two different networks.

1.) LAN:
Your LAN or Local Area Network connection is your connection to your router. This can be an Ethernet cable or a wireless (Wi-Fi) connection.

2.) WAN:
Your WAN or Wide Area Network is your connection to the Internet via your cable or DSL modem. When you have a WAN connection the Internet LED will be illuminated.

You obviously have a LAN connection, but can't access the WAN.

First thing I would do is cycle power on the equipment.

From your description it sounds like you have a gateway (combo DSL modem/router).

Unplug power cable for the gateway.

Plug in the gateway and wait a minute or two to establish a Internet connection.

Now reboot your computer to have the DHCP service assign a new IP.

Internet should work now.

If not you have a problem with the gateway, configuration or your Internet provider's service.

Time to call your ISP technical support line.
