I got home I stuck it in a bag
Of
Rice. I thought it
Wa fixed but a day later the volume doesn't
Work or anything? I go on YouTube and notice that I can't mess with the volume or anythig and I can't hear anything I check to see what's up and all I see
Is "Dock connecter" i don't know what's wrong maybe I need a new one cause it has water damage or if I need to put it in rice longer? Any suggestions would be great fully appreciated. Please

Take it to the Apple store or to your carrier to see if they can help.

I dropped mine also and the speakers stop working. I left it in rice for 5 DAYS and then my iPhone worked perfectly normal

Ok the two ways of the ways to fix phones when they are wet that i know of are…

1 plastic container of NON COOKED RICE

my ipod touch got completely ruined after having a full bootle of water put on it in a bag and it was left in the bag 7 hours before i noticed i put it in the container of rice, enought o cover the full screen and lef it for 4 to 5 DAYS it works perfectly fine

2 this one should work with most phones

tyou need a greylead pencil

take of the back of the phone

draw with the greylead a scribble on i think the part of the phone where the battery goes and tyen that does something to the water. It fixed up my sisters samsung after a day.

have a try it might work

You're supposed to leave it rice for a few days or you can short something out turning it on too soon.

check to see if the water damage indicators are pink/ red. The iPhone 4 has 2: one in the headphone jack and the other is in the middle of the dock connector. If unactivated they should be silver - white. It they are still unactivated i would say take it to the apple store (assuming you still have warranty) and tell them its broken.

Even if 1) its red or 2) youre not under warranty then pay for the $149 out of warranty replacement. Only $149 and you get a new phone that will have better chances of resale down the road!
