I dropped my iPhone 5s in Ginger Ale, what do I do?

I was on a plane and fell asleep with my drink between my legs and my phone was on my lap and when I woke up my iPhone was submerged in it. The Ginger Ale covered the top of the iPhone (so the camera, and those parts). I took it out, dried it off and it still works… Kind of. The touch screen sometimes randomly does things on its own and presses apps or other things. It's also hard to press things sometimes and it won't listen. It has also been searching for a signal the past few hours. Is there anything I can do to save my phone? If not, what is the cheapest thing I can do to get a new one.

Put it in a bag of rice and leave it there for a few days

Getting that wet, with sugar the phone is not salvageable. Keep your next new phone in your pocket, be more careful with your electronics.

Take it to the apple store if putting it in rice doesn't work. I don't know about a phone but a long time ago my iPod got water damaged and we only had to pay half of what we payed before hand. My phone hasn't gotten water damaged since
