I dropped my iphone in the toilet at school today its been about i guess 7 hours ago and i had to grab it out ( ew i know ) but it shut off and wouldnt do anything then i get home and its turned on and working but it says searching… At the top where my phone company names is supposed to be and the home button doesn't work and voice control keeps turning on and off. I have insurance on it so will they give me a new one or what?
I don't know if they'll give you a refund, but placing it in dry rice would suck up any water left over, which may help.
Probably, the Sim card was damaged. Once, I droped mine on a bucket and it was ok, but I had to replace my SIM card.

You shouldn't have had it at school in the first place. This is where they get lost, damaged, or stolen. And no, the insurance doesn't cover water damage. Your parents will go through the roof when they find out you've broken school rules by taking that phone to school, then getting it damaged by dropping it into the toilet. If I were your mother, I would not spend one penny on a new phone for you. You would have to earn the money yourself to buy a new one.
Try soaking it in rice. It will definitely get the water out. My phone fell in the pool and i soaked it in rice and it worked fine the next few days. Soak it for 24-48 hours though.
^ really? I take my phone to school everyday. I don't know where your kids go but I wouldn't send my kid to school without a phone.
Check your water sensors, try the rice solution (and leave in a warm cupboard overnight). If it fails, then claim on the insurance although you will have to pay an excess.
