I dropped my iPhone in the toilet? - 2

I was in the bathroom stall at my school and I was bending over the toilet to flush and it was already flushing and my phone fell in. There was still some toilet paper left in there so luckily it kind of landed on that and I grabbed it is soon as it fell and it was only in there for a couple seconds I quickly grabbed toilet paper in wiped it off and I ran out of the stall and grabbed paper towels. It still works perfectly fine but I read one time about taking your phone into the shower and about how it's really bad for your iPhone because some little thing in it will turn red because of water damage can anyone give me more details on this water damage thing and what happens?

When your phone has water damage u r suppose to put it in rice. Look it up

The "red" that people are talking about is a water damge indicator inside of the headphone jack. This is so that Apple can tell if your phone has had water damage. If you take a flashlight and look inside where you plug in your headphones and it is white, then you are good to go. I also might leave it in a bowl of rice overnight if I were you.

Take off the back cover of your phone there should be this little white thing with Xs on it when there's water damage it'll turn a different color probly red if its working fine it's most likely not water damaged

When you drop anything electronic in water you are supposed to submerge it in rice because the rice absorbs the water from the phone. My sister had a blackberry and she fell into the river and took it with her. We just put the phone in rice and 3 days later it worked. IT IS IMPORTANT NOT TO TURN THE PHONE ON BECAUSE IT WILL SHORT OUT AND ELECTROCUTE YOU!

Your phone will most likely be fine! I would suggest you get a zip lock bag fill it with rice and leave the phone in there for like a day or so just to be sure that its dry leave the bag on top of something sum what warm like a refrigerator.

Don't worry about it just try to dry it use hair dryer don't try to open
