I dropped my Iphone in water - no water damage showing on indicator?

Here is the situation. I dropped my Iphone 5 in the toilet (I hadn't peed yet so all good there). Immediately switched it off, dried it and put it in a bag of rice. This was at about 6 p.m yesterday. This morning without turning it on I opened up the sim compartment to check the circle for water damage (checked online and apparently this is where to check for water damage). The indicator was white.

It is back in the rice but I was wondering - when you think it will be ok to turn back on?

That's great however you can use a blow dryer to speed up the process. One time I washed my iPod and it still worked. Keep it in the for another 24 hours to be ok the safe side bc as soon as you turn it on (and if there's a drop of water on the circuit) it could fry the circuit board

Give it 2-4 more days before trying to use it to be safe. You may of lucked out but there are multiple indicators in an iphone, 2 of which are inside the phone.

  • Where is the liquid indicator in iphone 4s? I dropped my iphone in sea water just for seconds and i have looked carefully inside the aux jac port and it hasn't gone red, i've also looked at the bottom and its not red, i was wondering where is the sensor to know weather it has triggered or weather i was lucky enough
  • Water damage indicator on iPhone 5? - 1 I checked my SIM card tray and on the indicator, it is white with a small red dot in the middle. Does that mean it is water damaged?
  • Why battery percentage indicator in iphone is not showing accurate battery? Let its being charged, let it reached 97 percent, it will still showing charging, but if i off/on it, it will show 100 percent, and it shuts off when it reaches 4 percent, please tell what's problem? and as above i said, if i go to "usage" it will show time charged last time:0 mins standby:0mins but at top right its 99percent and is showing charging?
  • Iphone water indicators not pink, still possible water damage? Hypothetically, if you got your iphone 4s wet, but the water indicators are not triggered at all, is it still possible the phone has water damage on the inside that apple would find if they took it apart?
