I forgot my iphone passcode, what do i do?
Okay so i have an iphone 4 and i haven't used it for a while and so i forgot my passcode, i really can't remember it… I've read a couple of questions like this and people say for me to hook it up to my original laptop with original itunes but there's a problem, i haven't got access to my old laptop or my original itunes account… So what can i do? I can't go to a shop either… Help!
You will have to take it in dfu mode. First connect yor iphone to your computer press the hold and home button, ignore the slide to switch of slider if it comes after 10 seconds leave the hold button while keep holding thehome button, your computer/itunes will recoganize it as in recovery mode press shift and restore select your ipsw or custom firware file and press enter yor restore will start and complete in some time and you will get back to factory settings.
Plug in your iPhone to your new computer
Go to "My Computer"
Open your iPhones drive
Make sure you can see all hidden folders (If you aren't sure go to Tools, Folder Options, View Tab, and check Show)
Open the folder "iPhone_Control"
Open the folder called "Device"
Rename the file "_locked" to "_unlocked"
Contacting your mobile device service would be your best bet. Apple won't help you, because they can't verify if the phone you have is stolen. So contact your service & ask them for help.
- What to do if i forgot my iphone 4s passcode? So i forgot my passcode, and i don't know what to do. I read that you could plug your phone into itunes and then reset it, but i really don't want to lose all my photos, text messages, contacts, etc. Is there a way to reset my password without losing all my iphone's data? I tried restoring it then backing it up but the code comes back! I called apple and they were no help. Does anyone have any solutions that aren't restore it and buying all of my apps and music all over again? Please help! P. S. I don't have a backup file where the code isn't there.
