I have to store my Iphone 5 for at least 8 months, how do I charge the battery so it does not die?
Run, or charge it to about 40%, then power it down completely. (Wi-Fi off, Bluetooth off, full power-down)
Stick it in a drawer. Don't listen to people who tell you to refrigerate it. Room temperature storage, please.
(New and replacement Lithium-Ion batteries are shipped at about a 40% charge. They may sit on a shelf for months.)
You can't. No matter how much you charge it, the battery will eventually go dead after it's unplugged. The only way to avoid the battery going dead is to leave it plugged in to a battery charger for the entire time you're gone.
- Why does my iPhone die even though I have battery power left? I will get to around 30% then it will flash to 1% then turn off, is this common? What shall i do? Is there anyway i can fix it?
- Why does my iPhone battery die so quickly? I had my iPhone for about a year and a half, and recently I've noticed that the battery is draining incredibly fast. I've always had it on 3g internet/Wi-Fi and the battery never died this fast so I don't know what the exact problem is. I charged it to 100% yesterday and I only used it for maybe about 10 minutes and left it untouched for the rest of the night. Today when I woke up the phone was dead. I haven't changed the settings or anything fyi.
- Why does my iPhone battery die so fast? I have boost magic, which is supposed to help my battery last longer, and I kill all my apps when I'm done using them. I go from 100 at 8am and I'm at 60 by 9:30am. And I hardly use it too, just to look up information quickly and I just set my phone aside. I let it go down to 20% battery and let it charge over night. It just started doing this recently. I also keep my brightness to pretty much 0 with the auto brightness on. And it still dies fast. What can I do?
- Why does my iPhone 4S die when my battery is full? I recently got a used iPhone 4S and the battery is terrible. My battery can be at 100% and ill take a picture and it'll die. I can't use my phone for more than 30 minutes at a time. I've even had to buy a portable charger and it will still die. It's dies randomly all of the time even if my battery is full. What should I do? What's the problem?
