I'm torn between the iPhone 5 and the HTC One?

I need an unlocked phone to bring to MetroPCS's plan. But I can't decide between the two. Just a couple weeks ago, I was pretty sure I was getting the HTC One, but, I could get the iPhone for $100 cheaper and I was at best buy the other day, using both phones, and now I just don't know.

This is such an easy decision. I'm not an apple hater but with this one the HTC One wins by a landslide. Iphone 5 has outdated hardware that last year's android flagships were better. The One has better hardware, build quality, and software. It's also future proof

I will try to make your life easier with why to take the One over the Iphone 5.
First of all the Iphone five is running on IOS which means you get the boring simple page slides and nothing else. After a week the phone is just boring. Even when you jailbreak it, it still does not have as much customizability as any android phone. The screen on the Iphone 5 is 4 inches and only 720p resolution while the the One has a beautifully stunning 4.7 1080p LCD3 screen. The Iphone 5 is very thick and boxy while the HTC One is similar because it is made out of metal, it has a completely new feel when holding it in the hand. It has a slight curve which let's the phone fit perfectly into the palm of your hand and the aluminum i think looks cleaner than on the iphone. It is also a little slimmer but when you pick it up it feels like a big deal of the phone because of the cool aluminum feel + the weight that makes it feel professional. The speakers i can't even compare with the iphone for obvious reasons. It also does have two mics which allows it to pick up your voice during phone calls very well especially in a crowd. I do like the camera, even though it is only 4 megapixels it has amazing low light performance, and it also has a speedy sensor which allows you to take photos very quickly. I think that you will eventually regret getting the Iphone but never will you regret getting the One.
Some added features that i would like to mention
-you can use it as a tv remote
-It has HTC Zoes which is like a picture with a little bit of video to give you life to the picture
-It has sense 5 which is hands down the best htc interface that's ever been created, also it is clean and simplistic
-it has boomsound with beats audio which makes huge speakers with awesome sound quality.

I would like to add that the HTC One might be expensive now but a rumored HTC One mini is already in the works and pictures have been leaked for it. Along with that there's a HTC One Max a bigger version that is supposed to compete against the Note 3. I think that it could make the One a little bit cheaper. I think you should go with the One all the way.

I like the customization of HTC one, but I also like the cool design and better camera of iPhone. For you, I think you can try iPhone. IPhone has the best security by far of any smartphone because all code gets reviewed first before it can get into the app store. And its iTunes can supply tons of music for you. Here is the pros and cons of iPhone 5:
