I've dropped my iPhone in the toilet?

I dropped my iPhone 4S in the toilet about half an hour ago and I immediately rescued it and dried it off with a towel. The screen is 100% fine, there are no cracks/scratches/marks on the screen from water or anything.
The only problem is that even though I'm trying to turn it off so that it can dry out, it keeps turning itself back on (NOT turning itself OFF, JUST back ON). I freaking love that phone and it bloody means the world to me (sad, I know) it isn't insured and I've had it for 9 months. Is there anything I can do to make it better? Will it get better? Has anyone had experience of this happening and has it sorted itself out?

Put it in a bag of rice to dry out

Sorry, its gone
happened to my samsung galaxy last month, would even turn on.
Water + electronic doesn't give you the best result.

atleast yours works.

Just carefully pop the battery out. I've heard that putting it into a bag of uncooked rice overnight works good.

Put in rice bag

Here's the thing to do

1. Make sure its not charging

2. Are you switching it off properly?

Switch it off by:
Holding the power button
Wait until it says "slide to power off"
Slide it
Wait for the turning thing to go away
And its off!

---
Make sure you use that method to turn it off

Methods like holding power + home, will just restart it, not switch it off

I'd take the battery out, fill a tupperware bowl with rice and close it in till tomorrow and then I'd get it checked out by someone else then your cell phone carrier. This kind of information ruins yourself in the end. Voids warranties etc

Put your phone in a bag of rice for 24 hours or so. Before you do that, dry your iPhone off with a towel or something, and take off the case of your phone.

Here's what you do:
1. Get a bowl
2. Fill the bowl with rice
3. Put your phone in the rice
4. Let it sit over night.
Over night, the rice will attract Asians that will come and fix your phone for you.
