If I buy an iphone off of ebay how do I get it to work for my carrier?
I want to buy an iphone off of ebay, but i'm not sure how to get it to work on my carrier which is cricket.
Make sure that you check the iPhone's description to see if it's unlocked or not, if it is unlocked it should work with your carrier
DO NOT BUY AN IPHONE FROM EBAY! There are many scammers out there who try to send you a fake one. This happened to my best friend. It cost her 200 dollars that she never got back. - What does it mean if i buy a o2 locked iphone 5 off ebay? I was planning on staying on my o2 contract but switching my phone to an iphone by buying one and getting a nano sim card that o2 would give me for free. I have found an iphone 5 for over £100 cheaper (compared to apple price) on ebay but it says o2 locked instead of unlocked. Does this mean that i have to have an o2 contract (which i have so i should be okay i think?) or something else? Someone please explain to me?

It's currently jailbroken and it used to be on AT&T. I plan on switching it to MetroPCS. I only have the MetroPCS SIM card and it says I have signal but I can't make calls, texts, use the web. I'm not a AT&T customer and have no way of becoming one. I really need help. Any suggestions?

- If I buy an iphone used from another carrier ad buy a sim card from my carrier will that work? I have an iphone 4s with virgin mobile and I want an iphone 5 but all virgin mobile phones are so expensive! I looked on ebay for virgin mobile nano sim cards and they are only around 2 dollars. If I bought one of these sim cards and a used iphone 5 from another carrier would it work with my carrier?
