If I create a new iCloud account will it erase my pictures and apps?
My friend sold me her old iphone and it's synced to her new one. If I create a new iCloud will it delete all photos, apps, music, etc? Fine, if that's the case for my phone but my other question is if the same will happen to her phone? She would be so upset if her stuff was erased but I need my own account to activate this phone. Plus, it's getting annoying seeing each others pictures pop up randomly. Any information helps, thank you!
Sign everything out of iCloud then reset the phone. Her stuff won't be affected. Resetting a phone does not delete anything in the cloud or on other gadgets synced to the same account.
She needs to wipe the phone because it will need her password, then you just set it up as your own.

- If I erase and sync my iPhone 4 in the music library, will it erase my photos? I'm trying to add music to my iPhone 4 and when I go to sync just the music, it says 'erase and sync'. Will it delete my photos? If so, can I right click my iPhone and back it up so if it does delete my photos, I can just back it up?
- If I erase all my content and settings/data on my iPhone 4, will it erase my number too? I need to erase everything to make room for an update but for that I need 4.7 GB and I have 4.4 right now. I deleted and backed up everything I could but I for some reason can't delete my mail even if I sign out and I just can't lose my number
- If I create a new apple account to get another apple free trial what else will be effected? I want to make a new icloud account so i can get another free trial. Yeah, I realize I'm cheap! Can I do this without my texts and photos and stuff like that being affected?
