Added (1). I have an iPhone 5 with 6.0.1, I want to update to iOS 8.3 but I'm afraid it will delete the data on the phone (includes photos contacts and other apps) will it?
it happened to me once before and I don't want it to happen again
Well when my friend updated hers, she still had everything. When I updated mine it deleted all of my videos and some photos. So to be quite honest, I'm unsure!
Depends if your updating from like ios 7 to 8, but its possible so go to settings>icloud and back up all your data and info… Look it up if your confused about how to back up data.
- Will upgrading from iOS 5 to iOS 6 delete ANY data? I want to upgrade my iPhone 4 from iOS 5 to iOS 6 DIRECTLY FROM THE iPHONE using the software update option in Settings >> General. Will doing this delete ANY contacts, emails, apps, notes and calendar reminders? I'm MOST concerned about CONTACTS. I have more than 1000 of Contacts.

I know that if you 'Majorly' update your iPhone it will erase everything from your iPhone like updating ios 4 to ios 6, but what if you are just updating your iPhone from ios 6.0.1 to ios 6.1.2 on the same version, is there any difference or it will also remove everything?
- New iOS 6 update, find my iPhone update? I don't like the new find my iPhone update is there a way to change back to the old find my iPhone but keep the new update? It's not showing locations like it used to and won't even how me major boroughs like Croydon. Streets are difficult to see, much smaller picture. General *** compared to the older version.
- Mobile data update failed on iPhone8 how to fix this? I tried plugging it into computer to update etc & it didn't work either? I can't call anyone/receive calls or use my mobile data or text anyone from my phone until I get this issue sorted anyone know how to?
