IMessage won't activate. What do I do?

I lost my iPhone 4S two weeks ago on the public bus, and in a hurry I had my phone erased remotely via Find My iPhone".

I also had my service suspended until I found my phone.
Eventually I found it, and I reactivated my service.

I went through the process of setting up my iphone again and I've tried activating my iMessage but I haven't been able to get it to work.

It will read "Waiting for activation… " and then it never activates. It will give a message saying that the activation has failed.

I'm trying to get back in contact with everyone, which have been put on hold for 2 weeks.

What do I do?!

Try This:

On your iphone navigate to Settings > Messages > Receive At and tap "Use your Apple ID for iMessage" and sign in.

Its unlikely you will ever recover

  • Why can't I activate iMessage on my iPhone 4S? I went to jamaica and used iMessaging when i was there with Wi-Fi. And now that I'm back in new york the iMessaging won't work or activate. What do i do? Every time i turn it back on and re-enter my password it says that an error occurred and to please try again. I've restarted my phone multiple times and did a hard reset, nothing works.
