In simple idiot terms… What does jailbreaking an iphone mean?
It means you can buy anything from the app store or itunes for free:3
1.it is NOT legal
2.it is basically file sharing for apple including files that are not of apple origon
3. I don't recommend doing it on a new device
It means removing the restrictions apple impose so you can have applications that are normally not possible.
I don't know how to do it though.
I believe it is legal to do, but it voids the warranty.

Mean you can get free themes, change color of keyboards, icon etc.
you don't get free apps from the app store.
It means that you are turning your closed source devise into an open one. This allows you to do more then was possible with the un jailbroken phone. Its really nice to do. And it IS legal. It just is a matter of what you do with it that can be illegal. Some illegal things are like adding sources on cydia that allow you to download apps that you would normally have to pay for, for free. You can also change things on your ipod by getting themes. Like downloading a detroit red wings logo and setting it as your image for the slide to unlock in winterboard. I used to have an android and when I logged in and accepted terms I would be logged in all day. But with this iPhone it kicks me off and brings up the log in screen every time I use my phone! Help!
