IPhone 3G Wi-Fi not working.Repair?

My old phone is an iPhone 3g that i'd like to sell but the Wi-Fi isn't working and the shop i want to sell it to won't take it unless that Wi-Fi is working. It loads little round loading circle will appear for about 2 seconds but nothing happens after that. I tried a sim card and it picks up 3g internet.

My iPhone 4s connects to my home Wi-Fi so nothing wrong with the connection. And it's not under contract or warranty so i can't take it to apple or the o2 shop for repairs. I've restored and erased content. Any ideas how to fix?

Mine does the same thing and I took it into my cellular store and they told me that only apple care can take care of it.

  • Should I repair my jailbroken device or not? My 6.1.3 jailbroken iPhone 5's speakers do not work. The phone is still under warranty, so I can bring it into an Apple store to be fixed. However, I have to re-format my device to factory settings so my warranty is not voided. After Apple fixes the phone, can I downgrade to 6.1.3 to jailbreak again? Or is there another solution to this?
  • IPhone not fully charging and home button not working? My iPhone 4 only charges to 10% and stops. After it turns off it charges back to 10% and stops so it doesn't even get passed that. How do I fix this? Also home button doesn't work I have to turn my phone off to get out of an app
  • Iphone Do Not Disturb Not working? I downloaded the new IOS for my Iphone 4s and set the Do Not Disturb function up to come on at 9 pm and go off at 7:30 am. I see the moon symbol on the screen so it shows the DND is on, and I have set 3 numbers as favorites, but the favorites are still not ringing through. I missed a call the other night from a favorite, didn't ring, didn't light up the screen, nothing. Am I missing something?
  • IPhone 4s Wi-Fi greyed out bluetooth not working after screen repair Just replaced the LCD/digitizer on my iPhone 4s. Almost everything works, but the option for Wi-Fi in the settings menu is now greyed out, and when I click on bluetooth, there's just a spinning circle like its searching (but its not). I must have missed a step or plugged in the wrong cable or something… What could it be? This iPhone is unlocked for T-Mobile w/o a warranty so I can't simply talk to Apple If you need any pictures or more info please let me know!
