Iphone 4, 4s, 5 or samsung galaxy?
I get to upgrade phone in a month or so and I was looking to get a nicer phone. (Usually I just get whatever is free with sprint at the time.) I was hoping to either get one of the iphones or maybe a galaxy but I don't know how they compair. Phone critics begin haha please and thank you for your help.
Galaxy S4 my opion
First off, I wouldn't waste my time with the 4 or 4s. Apple has a record of abandoning older devices.
After that, it really depends what kind of user you are. Both the iPhone 5 and the Galaxy (I'm going to assume you mean the Galaxy S3) are great phones and there isn't a bad choice.
The iPhone is simple. It doesn't have many bells and whistles, it just works. It is always smooth and responsive. The iPhone is build very solidly and it feels great in your hand.
The Galaxy line of phones have a ton of bells and whistles. They offer lots of little tricks such as dual windows at one time and flip the phone to silence it. Samsung's build quality does not feel nearly as good as Apple's because their phones are made out of plastic on the sides and back but their phones are usually pretty durable (more so than the older iPhones especially). Samsung's phones are generally very fast, among the best android phones and faster than the iPhone at most tasks but they are not quite as smooth and thus might feel slower and sometimes an app will crash.
It all depends on you. Go to the store, play with both phones. Really try using them without a salesman trying to help you. Think of things like can I fit the galaxy in my pocket? Is the screen too small on the iPhone?
Also, if you wait a month or so the Galaxy S4 is coming out which offers many more features than last years models especially with the new camera software. You might want to check out the HTC One as well when that comes into stores.
