Iphone 4 transfer to Iphone 5?
I was hoping that i could transfer my text messages from my iphone 4 to my new iphone 5.
my iphone 4 currently is jailbroken.
so if i did a iphone 4 backup to my itunes, when i sync my new iphone 5 to itunes, do i just restore from backup and my phone will have my text messages?
(but the itunes i have for my jailbroken iphone 4 will not be the same as when i sync the iphone 5 because the iphone 5 will be IOS6 and also have the latest itunes. Where as my iphone 4 is IOS5 and not the latest itunes… )
so can anyone tell me what i could do that is possible for me to transfer text messages from iphone4 to iphone5?

and despite the hype, backup is not one of the things they really bothered to get reliable - even Icons positions are not preserved (how crzy is that).

you can always backup with the latest iTunes
(without letting it update - I thought there was a disable/ voluntary update)
and restore to iPhone 5.
