IPhone 4S demanding Apple ID on Activation Screen?
I received an 2nd hand iPhone 4S, which had an old Apple ID registered on it. And there's no way I can contact the previous owner to ask them about their Apple ID or iCloud or anything.
So I reset this iPhone, and on the Activation Screen I get the Apple ID sign in thing. And it's stuck on the old Apple ID.
What can I do?
Solution doesn't have to be iTunes… I can work with Jailbreaking and other hacks.
Currently on iOS 8.3
If you can't contact the previous owner then you won't be able to use it because they need to wipe it before giving to you
Unfortunately there's nothing you can do, without the original account holder's details. There's no way to remove or bypass it, and you can't jailbreak, 'hack' or reset it without full access to the device, which is what you don't have.
- Jailbroken iphone 4 still shows the activation screen? I jail broke to use the iPhone as an iPod & i can't restore all of my music/apps/photos to it because iTunes still says " there's no sim card in the phone you are attempting to activate" how can i get itunes to recognize the phone as 'activated'? - Thanks in advance
- Jailbroke Iphone 5 stuck on activation screen? I donwloaded a cydia app and the phone shut off and ran the ios 6.1 activation screen, you know the one after updating to ios 6.1 update or near same as when you first activate the iphone 5.IM running jailbreak on ios 6.1 on the Iphone 5 and when i try to get through the activation screen its a spinning loading icon that says its running and after ten minutes it fails and tell me to connect to itunes. I can't connect to itunes it won't work maybe cause i'm jailbroken.
- Iphone has white screen black apple logo frozen it occasionally goes black then that screen shows up again screen went red once? I held the home and power buttons and it showed me that the battery was super low with the little red lines hasn't shown me that since now it's just frozen on black apple logo with white background and the screen flickers occasionally i've had it plugged into the wall charging for 2 hours now and still nothing should I go get it looked at by apple or do I just leave it charging longer?
- Iphone 5 stuck at activation screen and can't restore? I upgraded to ios 7 beta, and it skipped the activation screen, which enables you to hate ios 7 without an activation or a developer account. However one day the activation screen appeared saying there was an error and i need a developer account. I tried connecting to itunes but it needs a confirmation to trust the computer, and since i'm still stuck at the screen, i can't trust the computer, making it impossible to restore my device as well.
